When applied iOS updated to 17, the notification sound for home security was changed/overided and is now shares the sound of stock alerts on the iPhone. Can we change the sound when the home armed, disarmed, and when a door or window is opened? If that is too much, then just an overall unique sound for the home security app. Similar to when the alarm is triggered, the sound is unique and easily identified that there is an issue

Hot ideas Top ideas New ideas Who/what decides this and why is a designation needed? If it is needed why not default to New ideas and show all posted ideas with option for Top and Hot.

Can Telus develop an action button where we can manually record our doorbell camera? I go live when I hear something suspicious outside and my doorbell camera and recording cannot be turned on. It also cannot be configured to trigger zones for recording. I would feel safe that I can record something that is happening and use it as evidence when filing police reports. FYI found a similar post here from 2020 and still no answer. Where are the experts?

Reading through New Ideas suggested I came across this one now closed. There are several posts asking why there are no simple PVR settings to set start and stop times. It is now November 21, 2023 and there is no extended recordings option. I have just switched over from shaw and I am blown away at how horrible your tv experience is. The remote only turns on both the tv and box half the time. the pop up to the home screen initially then have to back twoce to get to the tv is annoying. Still onnthe fence about choosing a profile to start, I may just delete those. The android voice features are mostly useless, I get the idea but bluesky is so much better. Having to pay $10 a month to pause and rewind is a cheap trick that was hidden during purchase. So far the only thing telus tv has over bluesky is the video games. It is such a bad experience and the customer service is so much worse. I am used to talking to someone within minutes, not hours. If shaw were still around I would have switched back and paid extra just to not have to use telus tv.

TelusTV-21T STB. When selecting the 'Options' button where it shows 'Jump To Date' add the ability to 'Forward 24 Hours' from whatever point you are currently viewing in the guide... Now, if I am say viewing the guide and want to record a program at 9am which also airs tomorrow. When you select the 'Options' button and go to the 'Next Day', it defaults to 7p.m. time slot and I have to manually rewind to go back to 9am. A much easier solution would be to jump 'Forward 24 Hours' where it displays Jump to Date in the options 🤔

I am frustrated that I can record a show, either on the app or at home, but can only watch that recording from my optik tv box. With Shaw (which we had previously), I could watch my recorded shows on my devices wherever I was (in Canada) once logged in. I travel a lot and have shows I want to see but have to wait until I return home and binge watch. This is not my preference! If Shaw can do it, I'm sure Telus can!!!!

It would be helpful to be able to set up automatic recording of all future games of a single sports team, such as the Canucks. Right now this needs to be done every game manually, and the PVR duration needs to be extended every time as well to account for potential overtime. This is very tedious and needs to be done continuously (can only select a game to record 1.5 weeks in advance). The TelusTV apps (in browser and on phone) are also very slow, making the process even more frustrating. Shaw has had this capability for over a decade, its time Telus implemented an easier way for sports fans to follow their teams.

Shaw Cable had a spot called “Recently Deleted” in the PVR Recordings where you could retrieve something accidentally deleted. I used this many times. It would be a great feature to have with Optik TV

Telus is blocking outbound access to Azure Managed File Shares via outbound port 445. I understand why they would block inbound Port 445 but I see 0 reason for blocking outbound Port 445. https://azure.microsoft.com/en-ca/products/storage/files This is impacting remote workers within our company and their ability to effectively do their jobs when they are out of the office. I can understand why this may have been done 20 years ago, But Telus the internet has evolved in the last 20 years. You are impacting the use of major legitimate services. Please update your policy. Your competitors don't block this traffic.

When a business account has at least one device on a static IPv4 (registered MAC addr), IPv6 is disabled on the WAN interface at the headend. To all relevant engineers at Telus: This provisioning limitation doesn’t make any sense from a customer stand point. You may have customers (like me), who require both a router with a static IPv4 (no IPv6) and a router with both dynamic IPv4 and IPv6 configs. Please accept this post as a feature request. Cheers!

I find the virtual assistant chat to be annoying and so far useless. I don't often need agent assistance but in the past 3 months I have. Each time I have contacted Telus for help I am connected to a virtual assistant who doesn't understand my request and continually offers options that have nothing to do with my query. It is incredibly frustrating. I have needed a call back for each issue so far. In the past I could get assistance by live agents via chat who were helpful and available on my schedule. I can't seem to find an option to chat with a live agent and most recently even my telephone call was answered by a virtual operator who continually gave me help options that didn't match my query. Virtual assistants equals poor customer service.

On the PVR guide, the "new episode" tags are really valuable and a welcome addition. However, there are errors. This week, for example, Strays on CBC and Shelved on CTV2 have new episode tags, but the details show original airing in 2022. Please add the tags to the online guide and the app guide.

The system settings menu on the Optik box needs an option to set the volume to Fixed output at maximum or variable volume. The fixed volume at max should be the default setting. Most customers use the TV to control volume so this would eliminate the issues where the Optik volume is adjusted accidentally prior to programming the remote for the TV. The setting would also give customers a quick way to correct the issue without having to reprogram the remote back to the Optik box and then program it again for the TV.

I really like the idea of a cloud PVR, but 45 days is far too short of a retention policy. It would be great if you could choose to have it function similar to that of a traditional PVR. where you can record a maximum number of 5 shows at once and the space is limited to say 2TB, but they don't expire. I was forced to get a legacy PVR because I keep some recordings for extended periods and watch a lot of shows, making it hard to always keep up. I don't like on demand for shows because I can't skip commercials or fast forward any portion of the show.
