Internet disconnects from optic tv. Richmond BC

Please help. Optic tv constantly disconnects from internet after we upgraded to 3gb speed internet speed. Tech say reboot modem done that a few times and experiencing this persistent issue for months now. We are at 3 road and Steveston Highway area in Richmond BC. Thank you in advance for your help.
