We migrated from Shaw to Rogers and I am unhappy with Rogers non-functioning remote that I have tried to get them to repair or replace for over 6 months. The service has degraded from what we received from Shaw and I'm thinking of canceling and going with Telus. Is Telus better than Rogers?

@RadioWell, I moved 2 years ago from Shaw/Rogers to Telus and I will NOT be renewing my TV subscription (with Telus) when my contract expires in a month. So infer from that what you will...
Sure I will get 'flamed' or deleted if I say anything negative, so I would suggest you look at some of the TV forum posts to help you make your decision. If you record lots and have multiple series recordings set, that maybe an issue for you. Particularly if you watch / record sports.
Recordings are only available for 90 days too before deletion. And there is no option to add time (start or finish) on a recording. Recordings are unable to record across different channels.
Good luck - hope this helps. I'm just a frustrated user trying to help! 😉

WOW!
I wonder if there are any service providers worth signing up with? I'm surry to hear you are not happy with Telus.
Rogers wants $29.99 for the privilege of them sending me a replacement remote. This answer I got today after six months of dealing with people that could not "verify" my account. I never had a problem with Shaw in the 8 years we used them. Rogers customer service is atrocious and I'm more than willing to pay the $400+ to dump them. Thanks for your advise.

Hi @Radio I was with Shaw 18 years. I moved specifically for their internet... IF you have TELUS fibre running to your property, then the internet connectivity is amazing. Unmatched speed around here at least...
I have the 1 gigabit package and get around 944 Mb download and 944 Mb upload speed, no restrictions or slow downs. Shaw / Rogers - despite the use of fibre in their adverts, that only applies to the backbone (main cables) not to the individual property so it's no competition.
I will be staying / renewing with TELUS, but ONLY for the internet...
