internet fail suddenly and sporadically

hi

this started happening march 19 2025, intermittently sites with ipv4 addresses get an icmp message back as type 3 and the packet is dropped. ive run wireshark and watched this. i have pcap of these occurrences. you can also see the issue with traceroute. no one ive talked with seems able to resolve the issue, someone came out and changed all our equipment but as expected this was only a temporary fix. ive seen similar posts last year but no resolution. it only affects ipv4 not ipv6. sites like virl.bc.ca is typically hit. anyone know anyone who can talk to someone that may be able to address this. ive spent hours on the phone with support and going to the router and unplugging it doesn't help long term.

telus support (above) fixed it.

if you can, check your admin panel and look at the wan address, if it starts with "100.80" then you got switched to a cgnat address. you will find your Smart home cannot be controlled remotely as well.

resolution was to reach out to the telus support account above, once they verified you they can resolve it.
