Literally aging wating for Telus Fraud Team...

Dan57
Neighbour

I reported fraud to Telus weeks ago, and was told that the Telus fraud team would get back to me within 10 business days.  It has been longer than that (17 business days), and still, I have not heard anything.

I also reported the fraud to the government antifraud center.

Has anyone had positive experiences with the anti-fraud team? has anyone ever heard back from them?

I presented every bit of evidence I had, names, dates, tracking numbers, IMEI numbers, addresses, and still, nothing.  I forwarded their email to CDP also (that I did get some kind of response from)

Hi there, what was it for?

I just created a reply to your question, only to have to trim it in half, then be told i was no longer logged in, and the entire message disappeared into the ether

Try #2.  On October 26 at 17:00, I was contacted by "Telus" and told that they wanted to save me money on my mobility bill.  As I was talking to them, they "Accidently" ordered two Iphone 15 128GB Black.  After this occured, I was switched to a second guy who said that unfortunately the first guy screwed up and that due to a system glitch, the order could not be cancelled, but no problem, they would provide prepaid return labels so that I would not be charged for them.

The first showed up October 29, and I sent it "Back".  The second showed up the 31st, same thing.

On March 4th, when I was talking to (actual) telus, about my home contract nearing expiration, I was UNABLE TO LOGIN as my 10+ digit mixed case and punctuation password was not working.  Once I did, I saw that not only was I being charged $66.42 for the phones but had already paid more than $265.  As well there was $630 left and a "Bring it back" penalty at the end.

I reported it immediately upon learning this, providing names, addresses, phone numbers, tracking numbers, and in a subsequent call, the IMEI of the devices.  I was told that the fraud team would call me back in 10 business days, but here I wait...

it is getting closer to double that, and I wait and wait...

I've been with Telus since before it was Telus (my original address was @agt.net, then telusplanet.net)

Definately feeling burned.
