I am traveling to Africa in a month.
I wanted to get organized in advance, so I read about the particular roaming package needed for Zimbabwe/Namibia.
I clicked "Get This Package" thinking that I would then be prompted to enter my dates of travel.
Unfortunately, TELUS activated the package right away. So I'm now paying $150 for the next 4 weeks for roaming in Africa...while I'm still sitting at home in Canada.
There doesn't seem to be any way to cancel this package...I'm really cheesed off. Why on earth can customers only activate these packages ON the day of travel? I'm going to be far too bus catching buses and running through airports on my first day of travel...it's for this reason that I wanted to make arrangements in advance.
