I have been with Telus since Clearnet approximately 1992. I had great service for a long time. I own 5 phones and plans for each. I spend $400/month and cost of the phones. So I have been with you greater than 30+ yrs. I have to renew my plan and buy 5 new phones…$10k…
I am trying to call loyalty in Canada. Every time I call I get rerouted to Philippines, Morroco, Guatemala and so on, never to Canada. I have been calling for a month and soon my son’s and daughter’s phone will get charged a buy back on their phones and they want new ones. I’m tired dealing with foreign agents. They don’t understand me and I don’t understand them. I am also tired of the constant “pardon me” from these agents because they can’t comprehend us Canadians. I want to speak to an agent in Canada and I think for all the money I spend on phones I should be able to do so. I keep trying and keep getting the same problems and being rerouted back to oversea different agents. All I want is to speak to an agent in Canada. When I said I’m going to take my business to Rogers who are the only ones left not oversea rerouting to loyalty, they told me oh well there’s nothing they can do about it so if you have to leave call back to cancel services…..!!! I couldn’t believe this! If this is what Telus is all about perhaps I move all my business including my security monitoring as well…I’m hoping someone at Telus corporate see this and returns a call to me or emails me to deal with this. I hate having to leave after all these years but my frustration has been pushed to the limit! Thank you. I also think perhaps a social media post on this on Tik Tok and on X may also be needed.

retired employee, you used to be able to ask to speak to a Canadian and there was that queue. I can confirm that the training is the same whether speaking to a Canadian rep or overseas. However as the training is the same a overseas rep should be able to help. sometimes when speaking to a overseas rep they may not understand due to English is a 2nd language. there's a internal feedback process for communication issues that a manager must address. unfortunately there aren't that many employees left in Canada as there used to be. telus doesn't sell cellphones anymore all they do is finance which I strongly disagree with as I would like to buy a phone but they won't sell me one. I wish all the customer service, tech support etc jobs were in Canada but that's up to Darren and the board of directors.
