Update Last name after marriage

Hey does anyone know how to update your last name? 

I've asked a few times now, they said to go into a physical store, which I did, and they took my ID but then said it would take a phone call to get updated, and when I got the phone call they weren't able to update it. I just spend some time with an assistant on chat, but they weren't able to update it either.

Every other service I use was really easy to update, but Telus doesn't seem to have any built in processes for updating your name?

Log into your My Telus, go to My Profile, go to Change subscriber name. You should be asked to verify the change by email or text message.

Just made a change to mine, it will show change on account but so far the original name stays the same. May be one of those things that take 24 hours, or it may not be possible. But my phone name and my wife name accepted the change. If this does not work then it is another HMMM moment
