Sportsnet 4k

Noticed today (June 5) that the colours on Sportsnet 4k are over saturated. The colours on both the hd channel and the 4k channel are different.

Edit: Ya the 4k channel, the colours are faded

Usually audio/video issues on a particular channel are broadcaster based. Are you seeing this on any other channels, including 4K ones?

Channels 920/921 the colours are faded...the colours look different than the hd channels.....it's on my other tv, so it's not my hdmi cord or anything...again, don't know if it's Telus or Rogers where the problem lies.

If you're noticing faded or different colours on channels 920/921 compared to your HD channels — and it's happening on a different TV, with no HDMI issues, this may be related to how the signal is being broadcast or processed.

So is that Telus' problem or from Rogers...cause this doesn't seem to be getting fixed...

I also noticed the same thing. The HD Sportsnet channels have the correct color amount.

Rogers tells me that the channels are fine on there end......but again there is an issue with channels 920/921...

There are a number of factors in play depending on the individual dynamic range setting, upconversion features, etc. We're fairly certain the problem is originating with Rogers as the feed is being upconverted to 4K. Our Optik team has already reached out to their engineering team for more info, and we'll provide updates when we get them.

We've had an update from our Optik team that they've been working with Rogers' engineering team to have this resolved. Appreciate everyone's patience with this.

We've heard from our team that the issue was in fact resolved and the channel is looking as it should. The color space is correct at all points, and the only thing that could be contributing to an incorrect viewing experience is the channel upscaling HDR which could be considered oversaturated at times.
