I signed with Telus a few months ago for Fibre home services. Now I am moving and the people on the phone say they can only offer me 100mbps at the new address for almost the same price. I want to cancel my services because they cannot provide the service I signed on for and I'm told I need to pay around 600$ to cancel? I did not sign on with telus for copper but for Fibre. This is unacceptable. What happened to customer service. If this is not rectified in the next few days I will be putting in a formal complaint with both CRTC and CCTS. I definitely will not use TELUS anymore after this and will never recommend.

Don't move?
Seriously, You and a few others have found yourself in this problem that you, by choice have created. You did not sign on with expectations of having the service ported to any other address, not a Telus caused problem.
Now, explore your options with other providers, tell them the story and they may pay the cancellation fee.

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. We’re sorry to hear about your experience. Our goal is always to provide the best service available at your location, but availability can vary depending on infrastructure in each area. That said, if Fibre isn’t available at your new address and you're within a fixed-term agreement, we’d like to review your account further and see what can be done. Please send us a private message so we can look into this more closely.
