No Sportsnet 4K on Optik TV app

Why does the TELUS Optik TV iPhone app always list “No live 4k event currently scheduled” on sportsnet 4k (channel 920 in Alberta).

On my Optik box there ARE events, such as Edmonton oilers game on 920. I just want to be able to set them to record from the app.

It's a quirk with the app. Since 4K isn't available for playback the app filters out all the 4K programming in the guide. In theory all subscribed programming should be available for recording. I suspect the app designers took a shortcut and decided to not retrieve separate guide info for setting recordings.
