Home Service Contract Issue

DMR_
Neighbour

I was due for a contract renewal for my cell phone which I went ahead and did, of course as I was doing that at the Mall, they had an offer for Home Service…a home camera(I felt in my gut it was too good to be true) but I still went with it. The Store Associate told me I would only have to pay $5/month, she said I wouldn’t have to pay anything more, she said, the only thing was if I was going to break the contract I would have to pay which was understood. So I thought about and I went with it. After the 1st month, I notice $140 was withdrawn from my bank account for Home Services. I tried to call Home Services, left a message and nobody returned my call, I then called and called Home Services and I was always just put on hold and nobody would answer. So I tried calling Telus Mobility and was able to speak to an Associate whom was quite pleasant to speak to, I told her the issue and said after 20+ as a Loyal Customer of Telus Mobility if I don't get my $140 back(which was never discussed when I signed my renewed contract) I would leave Telus all together because that Store Associate clearly lied to me. I told her I wanted to return my camera and I said I hope they don’t charge me breaking the contract. The kind Telus Mobility Associate said "no we won't allow that tohappen" and she sent me the return authorization. So I return the camera via Canada Post, in the meantime, I continue to get billed monthly and then I got an email saying my Home Services was going to be disconnected if I didn't pay then I get a bill for $378.80 and collectors calling me continously....really! My claim was noted on my account which was previously mentioned to me by TWO Telus Associates and all this happens….now I’m really thinking about letting Telus go, I was clearly lied to and I’m the one being penalized.
