I had a terrible experience closing my account with Telus. I stopped using Telus wifi last year, my balance with Telus is 0, I’ve sent all equipment back, etc.
A bit later, I received a letter from General Credit Services stating that I owed them 236.09. A Telus support representative assured me that my balance is 0 and that I don’t owe any money. It took lots of time and effort to reach out to Credit Services and Telus, double-check information, and confirm that I don’t have any debt.
But guess what, this week I received a letter from ARM, saying the same thing! That I owe Telus 236.09 CAD!
Like.. are you kidding me? Just by one small mistake someone made by closing my account, do I have to deal with those credit services again?
I understand that the company focuses the most on selling services, and doesn’t really care about what’s happening after someone stops using Telus, but this is too much.
