Door bell camera questions

I currently have 3 outdoor camera and thinking of moving over to a door bell camera for the front of our house. My questions are:

1) does the door bell stream video - we have two control panels, one in the kitchen so we can watch our kids outside. Just wondering with a door bell how does that work for the control panel

2) Anyone have opinions on what to use for front of house, door bell or standard outdoor camera
