After 20 years with my alarm system, which went through various ownership changes before transitioning from ADT to Telus, I was compelled to upgrade to the Telus brand. Unfortunately, the experience has been riddled with issues, unlike the flawless performance I had with ADT.
One major problem is the lack of text notifications for alarm or no-alarm events, despite the correct cell number being entered. I only receive push notifications, which are less convenient for me. Text notifications are customizable and much more effective, as they demand immediate attention. In contrast, push notifications can easily go unnoticed until it’s too late. ADT's text notifications worked seamlessly for two decades without any issues.
Another frustrating issue is the inability to silence the disarm beeps when the system is set to "stay mode." Despite enabling the silence setting, the countdown beeps persist, which is highly disruptive. For someone leaving the house early in the morning, disarming the system wakes up the entire household—an unnecessary disturbance.
On top of these challenges, there are additional problems with the system that remain unresolved due to unresponsive technical support. The wait times to reach someone are excessively long, and second-level support requires hours on hold, often leading to giving up in frustration. This entire experience has been a source of constant irritation.

We understand how important reliable notifications are, especially for home security. At this time, our system supports push notifications through the app rather than SMS alerts. That said, we absolutely recognize the value of text messages, and we've shared your feedback with our product team for future consideration.
Regarding the countdown beeps in "Stay" mode — this should not be occurring if the silent exit feature is enabled. We recommend checking that this setting is turned on both in the panel and the app.
