I have been battling with telus since October 2024. When telus purchased brinks home security they took over my account. I was unaware of this purchase. No phone calls or emails. I had direct deposit with brinks so I didn't realize I wasn't paying. Telus finally contacted me after some time and the situation was correct. Or so I thought. They opened a different account with me and we're supposed to close the other account. The fist account was never closed. So I was paying my bills in the new account thinking everything was fine. The old account was growing. Eventually I got a call from the collections saying that I owed over $1000 with telus. I was confused, so I called telus and they told me there was a mistake on their end and they would correct the matter. A month later I got another call from collection. I called telus, they said they were less helpful. After many attempts to talk to them I finally seemed like it was going to get handled. 2 weeks ago I was again called by the collection agency. My credit has been hit now and they are after me again. I am currently trying to work with telus, but having no luck. My lawyer is now going to be involved.
