Bring it back

I received a message at the anniversary date that i had to return my iPhone 13 or be charged 390. I returned it on Jan 12th. Before the dead line. Phone is in perfect condition....and telus has charged me 390 regardless. And charged me 60 dollars for my new phone to be set up BY ME. They charged me 60 dollars for me to take my Sim card out out of one phone and put it in my new one.
Hiw do I fight this?

While that is cutting it close, your best bet still would be to reach out to our Mobility team and see what they can do for you. They're available at 1-866-558-2273.

Oh, may have misread thinking it was returned the day before the deadline. Apologies!

When preparing to pay our bill online I discovered it was $400 larger than normal. It turns out we had been signed up to a Bring-it-Back contract. Neither my wife or I were made aware we had to return the phones after 2 years or pay a penalty. Telus claims they sent us email reminders but I can't find them and relying on email in this era of spam isn't a reliable method of communication anyway. The customer service agent we spoke to refused to provide any meaningful help and repeatedly told us it was our fault we missed the deadline. We are long-time customers and I feel our loyalty should be recognized. The Bring-it-Back program appears to be a scam as Telus unilaterally determines the value and refuses to hold a meaningful discussion with the customer who is expected to pay whatever surcharge they impose.
