So, I just got the email this morning about the new rewards portal and decided to check it out. I was looking at the points to redeem for gift cards and it seemed to not be as good of a conversion as I remembered. I popped onto the forums to see if anyone was discussing this and was very disappointed to find the threads talking about the pre december 2023 points expiry change.
I looked back through my bills and yes, it did appear at the very bottom of my December 2024 bill, mind you nowhere NEAR as prominent as the one at the top boasting of all the points I've earned to date. As well, the notification doesn't appear anywhere on my January 2024 bill or any bill prior to that.
Why is is that I can get additional notification of the new program in a prompt manner while a change that nullifies about $185 worth of earned rewards is a footnote in the fine print on a single bill?

Telus boasts that the new program is "enhanced" and "improved," but it's not.
Previous program: 100 points would get you 14 on-demand rentals (7 points per rental)
New program: 100,000 points (equal to previous 100 points) now gets you 3 on-demand rentals (28,500 points per rental).
And this is repeated with myriad other redemptions.
Please explain how the new program is better.

Thanks to Telus Support for getting my account sorted quickly. While I still think that the rollout could have been handled better, I appreciate the prompt personal follow up.

Hello, unfortunately, I am also one of those customers who was not aware that my "old" rewards points expired as of January 2025 and only my 2024 points would be converted to "new" points. I would appreciate TELUS Support getting back to me on providing me with options on how to provide me a credit for the lost points as we're looking at about 239 points, which is over 6 1/2 years of accumulated points. I have been a BC Tel customer for almost 40 years, and an ex-TELUS Team Member for about 9 years.

Did anyone get their points back? I notice my bill starting Jan 2025 doesn't even mention points at the top anymore, and I only noticed my points were cut in half now that Telus started the rewards program on the website again and multiplied them by a thousand. Since points can be redeemed for bill credits it doesn't seem right that they took them away.
