Eufy Doorbell - Need 2.4 access only - not mixed with 5

Hi. Need some help. I have a S330 Eufy wired doorbell. First time I set it up, it was a breeze using the older flat dish looking booster.  I live in  British Columbia, and have wifi 6.

I now have the most recent router/hub/booster and a new network name. Replaced by Telus this week.  I have tried, about 25 times, to set up the doorbell to no avail. Tried using new settings, tried with 2.4 only by removing 5 low and 5 high, tried smart home  2.4 with 5 low and 5 high both on and off. Not making mistakes on password for sure.

Looking for a clean 2.4 wireless setting only to use. (Not combined with 5 GHz)

Any tips for me? Would appreciate.

Depending on which Telus routher you have you can look at disabling smart steering or 5Ghz entirely to see if you can get the device to connect.

Just a long time customer hoping to help.

I tried every variation of settings and called Eufy. Would not work and I returned it to Amazon. I bought an Aosu doorbell camera and was less hassle…actually easy to set up. The loss for me was that the Eufy had 2 cameras and one focused on the porch floor and the Aosu does not. And for Eufy I had to buy a new door bell transformer and lost the use of the doorbell chime in the house.  The best for me would be if the Aosu had 2 cameras.

Very odd, disabling Band Steering / Smart Steering should've been able to get the camera connected on the 2.4Ghz band. Steps for that are at https://www.telus.com/en/support/article/smart-device-troubleshooting under the "Disable Band Steering to separate the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands" section. But looks like you got a new doorbell cam and glad it's working ok.

I tried that. Trust me, I tried everything and every setting by adding or taking away and the special band didn’t work either.

Good to know! Thanks for sharing your experience with it 1955Chevrolet, and glad that the Aosu camera works.
