Scam Call/Deal

SANNIML
Neighbour

Hi I got a call from a so-called Telus Agent offering me a deal for mobility services (BYD) for:

1) 80Gb data and unlimited Canada/Mex/US call and text for $28 per month

2) 40Gb data and unlimited Canada/Mex/US call and text for $20 per month

I asked for a discount of $5 each if I bring in 4 devices (or lines); 1 line for 80Gb ad 3 lines for 20Gb. The agent somehow agreed bringing the total cost to $68 per month for the four (4) BYD lines.

I became curious when the agent called me back with a 901 (texas) area code. Is this a scam or legit?

Telus is Canadian. 901 is a Memphis, Tennessee area code and that would mean it's a scam. Plus the price they quoted is far too low.

Hi! That likely would be a scam!
