How do I get more Wired Internet Connections

CurtisS

I have PureFiber Internet Gigabit with Technicolor NH20T Modem and Arcadyan Boost 2.1 Routers (Boost 6).  The Boost Routers only have 2 RJ-45 ports.

I tried running a cable from one of the Boost Routers to a simple switch (8 port D-Link) and the line quit working.  How do I get 4+ wired connections across the room?  Is there a way to enable a switch?

I tried running off both the Boost and the Modem.  No luck with either.

Have you tried a different switch? There should be no issues connecting a correctly functioning switch to the NH20T or the Boost units.

get own router and plug lan cable to the wan site - then from that your router you can connect another switch

I use a switch , using a cat 5,328 ft length or longer or a cat 6 or 6a 100 ft  length or longer  to achieve 2.5 gbs speed between the NH20t using only  10 gb port and the boost wifi 6 2.5 gb port purple port  with no issues with internet connectivity .

Are you using a unmanaged switch or managed switch ?

I meant cat 5e network cable
